Creator & design submission terms

If you submit a design to Thread Drops, these terms apply.

You own it — and you’re responsible for it

By submitting a design you confirm it is your original work and that you own, or have all necessary rights and permissions to use, everything in it (artwork, fonts, images, logos, characters, names and anything else). You keep ownership of your design — submitting it doesn’t transfer your rights to us.

You give us permission to print & sell it

You grant Thread Drops a non-exclusive licence to reproduce, print, display, market and sell your design on garments and in related promotion while it is live, plus reasonable archival afterwards. You can ask us to stop offering it at any time.

Our role, and the limits of our liability

Thread Drops provides a printing and listing service. We do not create submitted designs and we do not legally clear or pre-vet them for intellectual-property rights, and listing a design is not us confirming it is cleared. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thread Drops is not liable for any infringement, unlawful content or third-party claim arising from a submitted design. Sole responsibility and liability for a design rests with the person who submitted it.

You cover us for claims (indemnity)

You agree to indemnify and hold Thread Drops harmless from any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost or legal fees arising from a design you submitted, including any allegation that it infringes someone’s intellectual property, trademark, publicity or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful.

Report an infringement — we act fast

If you are a rights holder (or their representative) and believe a design on Thread Drops infringes your rights, contact us immediately at hello@threaddrops.co.uk with the design, the rights you hold and your contact details. On notice we will review and, where we consider it appropriate, take the design down promptly. We may also pause or remove any design at our sole discretion at any time.

We may share the designer’s details

To deal with a legitimate infringement claim, resolve a dispute, or comply with a legal obligation or court/authority request, we may disclose the identity and contact details of the person who submitted a design to the rights holder, their legal representatives, or the relevant authorities.

Plain-English starting template — not legal advice, and no wording can make a business immune from being sued. Before opening design submissions to the public, have a solicitor review these terms (especially the liability, indemnity and data-sharing wording) and consider intellectual-property / liability insurance.
